Sarah Moyer, MD

Sarah Moyer is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Humana Healthy Horizons in Kentucky, Humana’s Kentucky Medicaid business. Dr. Moyer, a board-certified family physician, believes that it is critical to engage all parts of the community to implement bold, innovative ideas to improved health outcomes for everyone. As CMO of Humana Healthy Horizons in KY, she leads the quality, health equity, utilization management and care management strategies to ensure that Humana Healthy Horizons is putting Health First for all members, associates, and communities across the state of Kentucky.

 

Prior to joining Humana Healthy Horizons, Dr. Moyer served as the Director of Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness, leading the community through the navigation of the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic and opioid epidemic. She also served as the Quality Improvement Director while faculty at University of Louisville School of Medicine, Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine, empowering the next generation of healthcare providers to ensure everyone can achieve their best health.

Dr. Moyer earned a Master’s in Public Health from Dartmouth College, a Medical Degree from Temple University and an undergraduate degree in physics from Colorado College. She completed her family medicine residency at Wake Forest University. She now calls Louisville, KY home, and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and four children.

Sherri Zink

Senior Vice President, Chief Data & Engagement Officer, BlueCross BlueShield of
Tennessee

Sherri Zink is senior vice president and chief data and engagement officer for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, which has 6,000 employees and serves more than 3.5 million members in the state and across the country.

She oversees the data management functions for the enterprise and leads the data science and analytics center of excellence. As the chief data and engagement officer, Zink owns the corporate-wide analytics strategy and promotes data as a cross-corporate asset by turning information into action that results in healthier, more informed members.

While leading the Information Delivery division at BlueCross, Zink’s team earned over a dozen awards for its use of data to improve efficiency and quality, including:

  • 2023 Modern Healthcare Top Innovators in Healthcare
  • 2021 Gartner Eye on Innovation in Healthcare Life Sciences (Payor)
  • 2021 CIO 100 Healthcare Leaders Award
  • 2021 CIO 100 Award for Blue of TN Voice Assistant
  • 2020 Digital Edge 50 Award for Member Net Promoter Score
  • 2019 CIO 100 Award for Spotlight (Employer Tool)

Prior to joining BCBST, Zink served as vice president of data and analytics for Optum and as director of reporting strategies for CIGNA.  She has more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry serving in multiple roles at three major health care insurers. Her experience primarily focuses on clinical and financial data integration, clinical value-based reporting, customer consultation and account management.

Zink graduated from Covenant College with a Bachelor of Science in organizational management. She also holds an Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in information systems technology from Chattanooga State Technical Community College. Zink currently serves as co-chair of the BCBST Client Advisory Board as well as the UTC MSDA Program Advisory Board. She is also an active member of the Blue Health Intelligence (BHI) Strategic Data Analytics Advisory Board, the Softheon Executive Advisory Council, and the Gartner Data Analytics Research Board.

 

Jake Petralia

Vice President of Product,
Icario

Jake Petralia is the VP of Product at Icario, where he is responsible for leading product management, operations, analytics and experience functions.  He specializes in transforming customer insights and market data into clear, strategic priorities that drive exceptional consumer experiences and accelerate growth.

Before joining Icario, Jake served as the Director of Digital Health & Analytics Strategy at Humana and was responsible for product and platform strategy for game-changing member experience, data, analytics technologies, steering product prioritization and development to achieve enterprise digital transformation goals.  Jake joined Humana through Transcend Insights, a wholly owned, independent population health management technology subsidiary, where he led product strategy.

Jake graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University and completed his graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received a dual Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Science in Public Health.  In his free time, he is the Chief of Staff to the CEO of the Petralia Household, Julia Petralia.  Together, they oversee the livelihood of their two amazing daughters, two vizslas, and two cats.
